Sajag supervisor briefing a site team

Frequently Asked Questions

Scope, pricing, staffing, compliance and hiring — the questions clients and candidates ask us most.

Answers before you ask.

If something is not covered here, call us or send an enquiry — we will answer in plain terms.

General

  • What services does Sajag provide?

Eight service lines under one contract — housekeeping, technical and MEP maintenance, pantry management, gardening, pest control, waste management, security services, and one-off specialised jobs. You can take any single line on its own or all of them together.

  • Which areas do you cover?

We operate across Bengaluru and the surrounding districts, with branch offices in Gaya (Bihar) and Vadodara (Gujarat). We serve tech parks, factories, apartment complexes, PGs, educational institutions, healthcare, retail and hospitality sites.

  • Why hire one company for both facility management and security?

One contract, one supervisor and one monthly bill instead of coordinating separate vendors. When housekeeping and security report to the same manager, gaps at shift handover — and arguments about whose responsibility something was — stop happening.

  • How large is Sajag?

We have operated since 2009, employ more than 2,000 people and serve over 300 clients. Every recruit is trained at our own 5,000 sq. ft. facility before being deployed.

Getting Started

  • How do we get started?

Send an enquiry or call us, and we will arrange a free site visit. We assess scope, headcount and shift pattern, then send a written proposal with pricing and an SLA — usually within two working days.

  • How is pricing worked out?

Pricing depends on headcount, shift hours, site size and scope, so we quote per site rather than publish a rate card. Quotes are itemised, and statutory costs such as ESIC and EPF are shown as separate lines rather than buried in a single figure.

  • What is the minimum contract period?

Ongoing services usually run on a twelve-month agreement with a notice period on both sides. One-off work — deep cleaning, facade washing, post-construction clearing — is quoted as a single job with no ongoing commitment.

  • Do you work to an SLA?

Yes. Every contract sets out scope, manpower, shift timings, response times and escalation routes. We review performance with you on an agreed cycle and share attendance and audit reporting.

On Site

  • How are your staff trained?

Every recruit is trained at our in-house 5,000 sq. ft. centre before deployment, then kept current on site through toolbox talks and safety drills. Security operations are led by ex-Defence, Paramilitary and Police officers.

  • Who supervises the team day to day?

Each site has a named supervisor, an area manager above them, and a 24×7 control room behind both. You deal with one point of contact rather than being passed between departments.

  • What happens if someone does not turn up?

We keep a reliever pool so absences are covered the same day — cover is our responsibility, not yours. Deployment is tracked so the headcount you agreed is the headcount you actually get.

  • Do you supply equipment and consumables?

Yes. Machines, chemicals, tools and consumables can all be included, or we can work with materials you supply. Whichever you choose is written into the quote so there are no surprises later.

Compliance & Safety

  • Are you licensed and certified?

We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, hold a private security agency licence for the security wing, and are registered for Udyam and GST (29CEJPS4968G2ZO). Copies are available on request.

  • Are ESIC and EPF covered?

Yes. Every deployed employee is enrolled in ESIC and EPF from day one and wages are credited on schedule. Statutory challans and compliance documents are shared with you each month.

  • Are security guards police-verified?

Yes. Every guard is police-verified and background-checked before deployment, and the records are maintained for audit.

  • How is safety handled on our premises?

All deployed staff are covered under statutory ESIC. Work at height — facade and high-rise cleaning — is carried out by height-trained crews working to documented safety procedure with harnesses and permits.

Working at Sajag

  • How do I apply for a job?

Fill in the form on the Careers page or call our HR line. If your profile matches an opening, our team will call you to arrange an interview.

  • Do I need previous experience?

Not for most entry-level roles. We recruit for attitude and reliability, then train you at our own centre before your first deployment. Supervisory roles do ask for prior experience.

  • Do I have to pay for training?

No. Training at our centre is provided free of charge, and there is no fee at any stage of our recruitment. We never ask candidates for money — if anyone asks on our behalf, report it to us.

  • What documents do I need?

Aadhaar, a passport photograph, proof of address and bank details. Security roles additionally require police verification, which we arrange.

Services

Facility Management

  • Can we start with one service and add others later?

Yes. Many clients begin with housekeeping or security and add technical, pantry or gardening as they go. Additional lines fold into the same contract and the same monthly bill rather than starting a new agreement.

  • Will we have a single point of contact?

Yes — a named site supervisor for day-to-day matters, with an area manager above them for escalation. You are not passed between separate service desks.

  • How do you report on performance?

You receive attendance and deployment records, periodic quality audits and a performance review against the SLA on an agreed cycle.

Housekeeping Services

  • What does daily housekeeping cover?

Floor care, dusting, washroom cleaning and sanitisation, glass and common-area cleaning, pantry upkeep and waste handling — set to a checklist agreed for your site and supervised daily.

  • Can you work outside office hours?

Yes. Shifts can be scheduled early morning, night or over weekends so cleaning does not disrupt your operations. Round-the-clock cover is available where a site needs it.

  • Do you manage washroom consumables?

Yes. Soap, tissue and hygiene consumables can be supplied and restocked by us, with usage tracked, or we can maintain stock you supply.

Security Services

  • Are guards available 24×7?

Yes. We deploy across day, night and rotating shifts, backed by a 24×7 control room and quick-response teams. Night rounds are logged and verified.

  • Can you provide female security guards?

Yes. Female guards and supervisors are available and are routinely deployed at residential complexes, retail sites, hospitals and for visitor screening.

  • Do you handle gate, visitor and material movement checks?

Yes. Gate duty, visitor management, material inward and outward checks, parking control and incident reporting are all standard parts of a manned guarding deployment.

Pantry Management

  • What does pantry management cover?

Tea, coffee and refreshment service, pantry hygiene, crockery and equipment upkeep, stock monitoring and support for meetings and guest hospitality.

  • Do you supply pantry consumables?

We can supply and manage stock, or maintain consumables you purchase. Usage is monitored and reported so reordering does not fall on your team.

  • Can pantry staff support corporate events?

Yes. Pantry teams routinely support board meetings, client visits and in-office events, and additional staff can be deployed for larger occasions.

Technical

  • Which systems do your technicians cover?

Electrical (HT and LT), plumbing and water management, HVAC, UPS and captive power, lifts, fire detection systems, STP and WTP, plus minor civil and carpentry work.

  • Do you provide preventive maintenance?

Yes. We work to a planned preventive maintenance schedule with documented checklists and logs, which is what keeps breakdowns and equipment replacement costs down.

  • How quickly do you respond to a breakdown?

Response times are fixed in your SLA. Sites with resident technicians are attended immediately; others are covered by a mobile team dispatched through the control room.

Gardening

  • What does garden maintenance include?

Lawn mowing and edging, pruning and trimming, weeding, watering, manuring, pest and disease treatment, seasonal planting and green-waste clearance.

  • Do you supply plants, manure and tools?

Yes, these can be included in the contract, or we can work to a budget you approve for each planting cycle. Tools and machinery are ours.

  • How often will the team visit?

Larger campuses usually have gardeners deployed daily; smaller sites are served on a scheduled weekly or fortnightly visit. The frequency is set in the quote.

Pest Control

  • Which pests do you treat?

Cockroaches, ants, mosquitoes, flies, rodents, termites and bed bugs, along with general sanitisation and drain treatment.

  • Are the chemicals safe around people and food?

We use approved chemicals applied by trained technicians, and schedule treatment outside working hours where needed. Food areas are treated with methods suited to those spaces, with safety data available on request.

  • How often is treatment needed?

Most sites are on a monthly or quarterly cycle depending on pest pressure and the type of premises. Termite work follows its own treatment and warranty schedule.

One time Jobs

  • What counts as a one-time job?

Anything booked as a single assignment rather than a monthly contract — deep cleaning before a handover or event, facade and high-rise glass washing, post-construction clearing, carpet shampooing and seasonal restoration.

  • How is a one-off job priced?

On a fixed quote for the agreed scope after a site visit, so you know the cost before work starts. There is no ongoing commitment.

  • Can you work overnight or at weekends?

Yes. One-off jobs are usually scheduled outside working hours precisely so your operations are not disrupted, including overnight and weekend slots.
